You’re so right…the Spectrum rom was so accessible, and with the rom/shadow rom disassemblies you could really understand what the machine was doing, and keep it simple.

I still have my brother’s ZX Spectrum in the garage.
With all the tapes (aaaaah!) and an IF1 with some Mdrives.
